Amsoil Arena

The $60M, 6,600 seat AMSOIL Arena complements the existing, two sheet facility and is the new home for the University of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldog Division I college program.

B32 Engineering Group’s design approach included aggressive LEED & energy reduction strategies including obtaining LEED silver certification. As part of this approach, the ice system design included environmentally-friendly and efficient refrigerants, the highest efficiencies motors available, larger piping systems to reduce pump energy requirements, steel piping in the rink floor to increase the heat transfer efficiency along with many other energy efficient systems and designs.

Congratulations to the UMD Bulldogs for winning their second straight NCAA Championship!
