Design

The ice system is the heart of every ice rink facility and play a key role in determining the economic and social success of the facility.  The initial cost of installation for these systems can be as high as 15% of the total construction cost of the facility and can use 50% or more of the facility’s total energy use.  Generally, the ice system includes the ice rink floor(s), the refrigeration system(s), the waste heat recovery system(s), and the dasher board system(s). 

It is important that these systems be specifically designed for each facility and installed properly to maximize efficiency and performance.  Our in-house engineers and designers have years of experience of designing these specialized systems.  We educate and assist Owner’s groups, facility managers, facility operators, architects, and other stakeholder groups in making decisions that will maximize performance and longevity of the ice system, maximize the recoverable energy from the systems and minimize energy and operational costs.  We custom each design to the needs of each facility and develop a cost-effective, energy efficient and environmentally friendly solution for your facility.
