Scope of Work

The Chaska Curling and Event Center is home to the largest curling membership in the United States. Fully equipped with six curling sheets, a lounge, and locker rooms, the Chaska Curling Center is becoming an important facility within the city’s park and recreation program.

The facility opened in December of 2015, and has exceeded everyone’s expectations. It has racked up a membership of over 1,240 curlers, provided a brand new recreational facility, and spurred economic growth while revitalizing the City of Chaska.

B32 Engineering Groupprovided the ice system design services for the new six sheet curling facility. This included a design for the ammonia based refrigeration system, waste heat recovery system, and the six sheet curling floor.

After successfully completing a multi-million dollar ice system renovation at the city’s community center ice arena, the city again turned to B32 Engineering Group for their expertise in curling facility design.
