Scope of Work

The Guidant John Rose Minnesota Oval is the largest artificial outdoor rink featuring 110,00 square feet of outdoor refrigerated ice.

The Guidant John Rose Minnesota Oval is an 110,000 square foot ice skating surface that provides an outdoor 400-meter Olympic speed skating rink, international bandy rink, and recreational skating. In 2005, the City of Roseville hired Stevens (Now B32 Engineering) to design the renovation of the 800-ton refrigeration system. The 12 year old, indirect ammonia and brine system corroded to point that it was no longer safe or efficient to operate. Stevens (Now B32 Engineering) reviewed replacement and repair options with the city, designed the options, and provided construction administration for the project.
